Thanks to telecommunications in all its aspects, local and global markets have come close and have lost their differences to the point where the borders between countries have yielded to nonexistent socio-economic barriers.
1.1. Importance of graduate training in Telecommunications Management
Nowadays, the decisions regarding Telecommunication are not of technology itself but affect the international and domestic competition in terms that overall decisions are introduced, on one side in local markets forcing local companies to improve their competitiveness and expand, and on the other side, altering the relationships of daily life by changing the communicative ways between people and organizations. This gives Telecommunications a high strategic value thanks to the agility which reduces the distances of markets, individuals and organizations.
Regarding the Telecommunications Management Program, it provides a comprehension to a wide umbrella related to telecommunication management in an integral way, from the change in the telecommunications market to understand the possibilities offered by current telecommunication networks including topics on regulation, environmental management, corporate structure, and security.
1.2. Central concepts of the program: management and telecommunications
The concept of management is usually associated with the ability to organize, display and control all the resources necessary to achieve a specific and pre-established order. In the field of telecommunications, these goals range from the technical to the decisions between governments. In these decisions, institutional stakeholders, countries, regulations and standards, technologies and services appear; therefore its management is due to work in different levels or areas of decision.
Who is the programme for?
The proposed training methodology, in addition to the clarity, breadth and didactics of the content design, allows the Specialization in Telecommunication Management program to be directed towards working professionals who wish to gain more knowledge or to work in the field of telecommunications with the multidisciplinary perspective that its management requires. It allows people who occupy middle management positions in telecommunication companies to take on greater responsibilities.

His research interests combine telecommunication infrastructures (Telecommunication Networks, Multimedia and Internet of Things - IoT) together with the digital transformation (Artificial Intelligence and predictive systems, Cyber-Security) of the business fabric, mainly in the areas of eHealth, Industry4.0 and Energy. Author of numerous scientific publications and an active lecturer on innovative business management.
