The social, cultural and economic changes experienced over the years have favored the emergence of new scenarios and contexts in the development and education and, with them, new spaces of assessment and intervention for professionals who work in this field. The development and education constitute a consolidated scientific and professional field, with a strong social presence and with a corpus of theoretical, technological and applied systematized knowledge, which is clearly differentiated from other disciplinary areas. Training and professional practice in this area boast a long tradition.
In this context, the aim of the work of the professionals of this area is the assessment and intervention in the human behavior in evolutionary and educational situations, through the development of the individual, groups and institutions abilities. In this situation, the education term is understood in a broad sense, it refers to learning and development processes, both personal and collective.
The Master's Degree in Psychological Intervention in Development and Education trains experts in one of the most demanded professional profiles within the labor field and becomes an especially useful tool in the specialization of professionals from a broad and applied approach, whose purpose is to work in the development and education field.

Who is the programme for?
The Master's Degree in Psychological Intervention in Development and Education trains students in a wide professional sector (education, family, social work, community health, etc.), and provides them with a deep training for the assessment, consultancy and intervention development.
This Master's Degree program is flexible about the applicant’s profiles, as its structure allows to meet different areas of interest.
- Graduates of the following educational fields: psychology, pedagogy, pre-school education, pre-school and elementary education, social education and equivalents)
- Graduates of the social field: social work, social nursing, social psychology, sociology, anthropology and equivalents.
- Graduates from other areas who can prove a solid professional career in the education or social field.
This third group of students, depending on their previous training, may need to take some additional training that will be adapted to each case in a personalized way. Fundamental knowledge will be taught in the basic subjects.
Diploma
The successful completion of the Program will allow the student to obtain the degree of MASTER IN PSYCHOLOGICAL INTERVENTION IN DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION, issued by the University where he or she has registered.

Duration
The Master in Psychological Intervention in Development and Education has 90 credits.
The duration of the Master in Psychological Intervention in Development and Education varies between 12 and 24 months, depending on the student's dedication. In this period of time, the student must have successfully passed all the evaluated activities and approved the Final Project.

General objective
The aim of the Master in Psychological Intervention in Development and Education is to train professionals able to evaluate educational contexts and situations with the purpose of designing intervention and psychological development programs.
