Program Presentation
The General Bioethics course is an academic program aimed at training professionals specializing in the study and research in Bioethics.
The program follows a methodological multidisciplinary education from a scientific, anthropological and ethical approach. It intends to complement the theoretical handling of knowledge needed for the study of Bioethics. The program also includes a significant training component focused on research, based on knowledge and management of the triangular method of study typical of Bioethics.
From these two aspects, the student is then guided to the thematic development of the most relevant topics in the study and application of Bioethics, from its origins until today.
The General Bioethics course is an ideal supplement to enrich any undergraduate or graduate interested in specializing in the Area of Bioethics, specifically in the study of the basics of Bioethics, from the management of the main sources of knowledge, to the mastery of its discourse and the method of study for Bioethics.

The proposed methodology and a clear and diverse curriculum makes the Specialization in General Bioethics program designed for professionals interested in the study of Bioethics from its origins to its current state of development.
The subject of Specialization in General Bioethics is an ideal addition for undergraduate or graduates interested in subjects from the Bioethical Area.
Diploma
Successful completion of the Program will enable you to be awarded the degree in Specialization of GENERAL BIOETHICS.
After successfully completing the Program, the student will receive the degree as awarded by the University where they have enrolled.
Program Structure
The credit structure of the General Bioethics program is shown in the following table. It should be noted that the duration is merely indicative, as the methodology followed integrates the knowledge and skills to be acquired in each part through integrative exercises of knowledge acquisition and internalization of project practices:

a. The equivalence in credits may vary according to the university where he/she has enrolled. One (1) ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credit is equivalent to 10 + 15 hours. If the student is enrolled in a university that does not belong to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), the relation between credits - hours may vary.
Duration

Objectives
General objective:
- To train specialists in Bioethics with emphasis on general training in knowledge of its discourse and methods, as well as managing the triangular method that characterizes it.
Specific objectives:
- To train specialists to work with the three major knowledge sources: scientific, anthropological, ethical or moral.
- To train specialists to have a good command of the triangular method of analysis, a multidisciplinary method typical of the Bioethical field.
- To train specialists in Bioethics to gain a complete perspective from its foundations to the main areas of application and development.

Study Plan
The General Bioethics program has a curricular structure based on two sequential parts and a Final Project, with a total workload of 350 hours:
- 1st Part: Subjects (250 hours).
The purpose of this first module is to introduce students to the general study of Bioethics. The topics provide the theoretical basis that serve as the foundation for knowledge of bioethical discourse and methods.

The last phase of the program is made up of the Final Project, which may be started prior to the end of the 1st Part: Subjects, since at that time the student will have gained the necessary knowledge to begin the project.
The objective is to present a comprehensive document that shows the total development of the proposed work, contemplating the possibility of its practical implementation, according to the guidelines and details of the submitted Final Project. The Project should be a contribution to the field or related topics, both theoretical and applied.
